Hello from Reno!
We are waking up to our fourth day here at KRTS…
We’re wearing down a bit (ok alot) but we can’t wait to tell you all about our trials and tribulations. We’ve had a fantastic time getting to know everyone and being the rookie has never been this good! Two days of Formation School with Tuesday marking the first day of Pylon Racing Seminar.
The first day of Formation School was invitational only so you know #DarkstarAirRacing was by far the belle of the ball and feels pretty good right about now. The best part is being around pilots that are as passionate and competitive as we are, not to mention how in awe everyone is of the L139 and no, that’s not an L39 — it is an L139! Hey, what can we say, we aim to impress or misbehave (haven’t quite figured that out yet)!
The worst part is the internet at our home for the week is less than impressive (driving our PR guru crazy). And that we haven’t had a good meal in days, but that’s all apart of the experience. Oh and our GPS has been off her game. Aside from that — the experience flying the jet has been incredible, I mean it’s the Only One in the World! And isn’t the time we spend off the ground the best?
Don’t fret, we’ve got so much to share with you once the internet gods grant us access to high speed internet.
Until then take a look see at the photos we took enroute to Reno from the Texas coast — it is different terrain than we’re used to (well kind of)!

At the end of the day KPKV to KRTS boiled down to 3 legs, 7.5 hrs in flight and 9 hrs of travel but it was worth it and we laughed the whole way.
